Sales & Consulting for the Adult & Tobacco Industries
ARCADE BOOTHS
We sell anything from “turn-key” installed systems to electronic components you can install yourself.
Features include:
Automatic volume control on each channel. As the customer changes channels, the volume is always in the same dynamic range. This solves the problem of the highly variable audio levels between DVD makers.
The system automatically skips channels that have no video present. If a DVD player stops or is off, the channel is automatically skipped. Your customer is always changing to a great video image.
The system tracks the amount of time each title is viewed which helps in the daily rotation and changing of the arcade titles.
A title channel shows the titles and channel number of each video player. The customer can easily determine the title of a movie. Most operators will sell movies out of the arcade. These titles are usually the newer high-dollar releases.
The owner can get daily & cumulative financial reports for each booth. These reports can be obtained on site or over the Internet.
Typical Questions:
Q: What about the computer-based systems that do not use DVD players?
A: Digitized systems are expensive. They have expensive maintenance contracts. You still have to get the content onto the computer systems. When the systems fail, repair is expensive and typically cannot be done by the operator. If a DVD fails, it is easy and inexpensive to replace. The operator can do it. More expensive systems do not generate more revenue. Your revenue will be directly related to the number of booths and the amount of traffic.
Q: What about service?
A: Telephone support is available from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. ET, 7 days a week. Most problems can be solved over the phone. If any components need to be serviced or replaced, they can be shipped next day.
There is a 2-year parts & labor warranty on the arcade electronics system. Monitors & video players are covered by the manufacturer’s warranty. You specify how you want warranty components shipped; you pay the shipping.
We still support every system we have manufactured. No customer has ever been told “your system must be replaced by the new model.”
This design company has been making arcade systems for the adult industry since 1983. The systems are specifically designed for this application. No PC hard disk to crash.
Booth & physical layout considerations:
Is your location zoned for “adult entertainment” that allows booths?
Do you have a copy of the ordinance?
How many booths do you want? Floor space is what determines the number & possible design options. We usually do not recommend more than 16 booths on a system. This is good for most locations.
What are the dimensions of the room? Show where all doors are located, if any support posts are located in the area and where they are.
What kind of floor is in the space? We recommend 1/8th in thick linoleum tile.
What is the ceiling height? Must be at least 7 feet, 8 feet is OK but 8.5 feet or more is better.
What kind of ceiling is in place?
ARCADE SPECIFICATIONS
1. How many channels do you want?
If you have little or no competition, 28 channels are usually sufficient. If you have competition that has more than 28 channels, we suggest the 56-channel system. Data indicates that as you move past 50 channels, there is very little increase in revenue.
2. What type monitor do you want?
We recommend 19″-20″ monitors. These can be either CRT (picture tube) monitors or LCD flat panel monitors. CRT is less expensive but do take up more space. LCD monitors are typically specified when the available space is limited. The area behind the vending door can be as little as 6 inches with the LCD screen.
3. Do you want any “Preview Booths”?
Preview allows the customer to pick media to watch on-premise. The clerk puts the selected video into the preview deck & starts the session. An accounting counter identifies the number of preview sessions. The customer has a fast-forward button that allows the viewing of a video in a brief period. Preview booths can be stand-alone or they can be combined with an arcade booth. The combo-booth automatically switches back to arcade after the preview ends.
